Job Description:

Our organization is dedicated to serving the Medium and Heavy Duty Truck Industry segments across the Upper Midwest. From the beginning of the vehicle purchase process, through the repair and on-going vehicle maintenance phase, to final disposal and replacement, our team of dedicated and highly skilled professionals work diligently to keep our customers trucks on the road running smoothly. As a Territory Sales Representative, your responsibilities will be to grow and develop our used truck sales/business within your assigned territory. Essential and Specific Responsibilities for this position are outlined below. Essential Responsibilities Grow Truck Business and customer base within assigned territory to maximize profitability. Development and on-going management of a disposal channel of wholesale dealers to maximize the return for non-retail quality vehicles Development and on-going management of a disposal channel of Reserve/Floor permitted Auction Outlets to maximize the return on specific used vehicles not suited for retail or wholesale channel disposal. Achieve or exceed annual, quarterly and monthly goals and objectives including but not limited to; unit sales volume, margin, cycle time, territory/customer growth, and disposal process cost controls/reductions for your territory. Constantly look for opportunities to improve sales effectiveness and efficiencies Work closely with Medium Duty Used Truck Dept., Fixed Operations Teams and other departments/internal businesses within assigned territory to maximize sales volume/margin, net profit and customer satisfaction. Specific Responsibilities Manage sales effort/process within assigned territory to maximize customer touches and close Retail Deals Maximize effectiveness within assigned territory through utilization of all sales process tools, including phone calling, e-mailing, prospecting, cold calling and setting-up and fulfilling, in-person customer appointments as well as preparing and presenting customer proposals. Complete daily/weekly Customer Call Plans/Touch Reports/CRM data base management. Develop and effectively manage on-going customer relations Develop and manage on-going relations with Wholesale Dealers and Auctions to maximize returns and reduce cycle-times for vehicles disposed of through those channels Manage Expenses to OP Plan for territory Complete all training material in a timely manner and with the highest degree of proficiency. Support the initiatives of other departments within territory Maximize Used Truck margins/profits across all disposal channels by controlling and reducing cost of sale expenses within each of those channels. Identify and communicate to other departments, opportunities to penetrate customers within territory. Perform other tasks as assigned and/or identified Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience Effective oral and written communication skills Minimum of 5 years sales experience within the Trucking/Transportation Industry or a related industry Self-motivated with the highest degree of energy, self-confidence and integrity and the ability to perform well with-out daily supervision Ability to successfully negotiate with customers at all management levels Ability to work under pressure both externally and internally across department lines, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple tasks simultaneously Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Exceptional Customer Service Orientation Proven ability to exceed annual/quarterly/monthly sales goals Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications Some travel is required
