Compressor Design Engineer
Design and develop innovative compression technology for HVAC and refrigeration applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and sustainability.

About the Role
As a key member of the Advanced Technologies Applied Compression team, you will be responsible for solving technology needs through mechanical design, analysis, testing, qualification, and manufacturing integration of scroll compressors.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Design and develop scroll compressors from concept selection to detailed drawing, including pressure vessels, castings, bearings, lubrication systems, and seals.
  
• Specify, select, and apply motors in compressor applications, perform stress and deflection analysis, rotor dynamics, and vibration analysis.
  
• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide compressor and motor selection recommendations and refine design to meet application needs.
  
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including technical reports, lab test results, drawings, models, and specifications.
  
• Collaborate with product engineering, manufacturing engineering, and operations to ensure compatibility between design and process capabilities.
  
  
  Requirements
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
    
  • Minimum of 1-3 years' work experience in product design and development.
    
  • Mechanical design and engineering skills, with practical hands-on hardware experience.
    
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate up, down, and across the organization.
    
  • Knowledge of electrical motors and rotating systems.
    
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
    
  • Demonstrated leadership of technical teams.
