Electromechanical Technician I
Trane Technologies is seeking an Electromechanical Technician I to join our Engineering Test Laboratory in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This entry-level position involves testing and qualifying Trane Applied Compression and Commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products.

About the Job
This salaried non-exempt position requires problem-solving, troubleshooting, and collaboration with other lab and engineering team members to ensure timely completion of projects. The successful candidate will support building, installing, and qualifying Trane commercial HVAC products.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Work safely and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures
  
• Assist with build, modification, and installation of developmental commercial HVAC equipment and components
  
• Assist with installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of devices and systems
  
• Support product development activities by operating commercial HVAC equipment and collecting experimental test data
  
• Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of Trane commercial HVAC technologies and equipment
  
  
  Qualifications
  
  • 
    
  • Associate degree in Electromechanical / Electrical Mechanical or 2-year equivalent degree program in Electromechanical / Electronics at an accredited school
    
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
    
  • Strong grasp of electronics principles and troubleshooting is preferred

    • 
      
    • Basic grasp or willingness to learn refrigeration-related thermodynamic principles and mechanical troubleshooting
      
    • A working knowledge, or willingness to learn, of measurement and control equipment, data acquisition, and communications
      
    • Demonstrates basic knowledge on measuring/inspection instruments and or mechanical and electrical components and their principles, properties, and theories
      
    • Basic understanding of schematics, reading, and interpreting engineering drawings, technical reports, safety rules, operation, and maintenance instructions
      
    • Ability to understand and follow current work instructions and applicable test standards
      
    • Ability to help solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
      
    • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in order to listen and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees in the organization
      
    • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced team environment

      Base Salary
      The base salary for this position is $46,000-$62,000.
