Infrastructure Architect collaborates with application architects,
infrastructure engineers, security engineers, key business
stakeholders and IT leadership to architect Infrastructure designs
required to meet OptumServe customer needs. -This person will
participate in RFI responses and competitive proposals. -The
successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with
the other IT Infrastructure Team members and managers, as well as
other operations departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
of the system designs. This role must understand functional and
non-functional requirements to ensure they can be achieved through
system design and engineering to meet the needs of the customers.
-The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for creating and
assessing design options to ensure solution meets business needs in
terms of security, scalability, reliability and feasibilityYou'll

States as you take on some tough challenges.Primary
Responsibilities:
- Applies understanding of infrastructure (Network, Hosting,
Storage, Cloud Hosting, Telecommunications, Desktop) and
operational platforms to support and optimize business applications
and systems
- Evaluates current infrastructure and recommend solutions,
vendors and products to improve
- Review contract requirements, OptumServe applications and
provide Infrastructure designs
- Work with application architects to determine Infrastructure
designs to meet application designs
- Present high-level overviews and solutions of system
architecture and integration capabilities to IT partners on
cross-functional teams
- Provide mentoring and guidance to the Infrastructure team to
implement designs
- Implements information architecture by preparing drawings and
participating in testing to prove designs
- Shares learnings with others to influence change
- Effectively communicates with business stakeholders and
technical team
- Comply with enterprise and government security protocols
- Consider security implications in activities and designs
- Identifies applicable security/data standards when reviewing
requirements and recommends controls to ensure complianceYou'll be

- 8+ years IT Experience
- 5+ years of IT Infrastructure Experience
- 2+ of IT Architecture Experience
- Proven experience with Cloud transformation and
containerization
- Proven track record delivering complex, unique business
solutions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to mentor Infrastructure Engineers
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, MIS, computer science, Engineering.
Equivalent experience or related field and/or applicable military
experience will be considered
- Willingness and ability to travel quarterly to La Crosse, WI
(If not on-site in La Crosse, WI)
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following submission
of Department of Defense

- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or
CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)
- 2+ years of experience with Federal Government security
controls including FedRAMP and NISTAs a requirement of UnitedHealth
Group's contract with the Department of Defense, this position
requires U.S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication
following submission of Department of Defense , (the National
Agency Check Legal and Credit or NACLC). Successful completion of
the NACLC process is a requirement for continued employment in this
role. NACLC processing will be initiated by our TRICARE Security
Officer post-offer and can take 3-6 months for a final decision
communication from the Department of Defense. Candidates will be
allowed to begin employment with UnitedHealth Group in this role
based on an interim clearance, and final results will be
communicated as they are received. Failure to obtain final NACLC
approval will result in termination from this role.To protect the

range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary
range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to
education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to
