Job DescriptionDakota Supply Group (DSG) is seeking a Regional Sales Manager - Mechanical for our Wisconsin locations. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will lead the planning, directing and monitoring of electrical sales activities for their region. The RSM will be responsible for developing our regional sales team to achieve sales and gross margin objectives, while driving constant improvement in customer experience. The qualified candidate will be an integral member of the regional leadership team, with a demonstrated ability to coach a high performing, autonomous team to increase market share through customer retention and new customer acquisition. That means you are always working with an owner, and consequently, your success is recognized as the foundation of our own.Specific Duties of the Regional Sales Manager - Mechanical:• Work with Regional General Manager (RGM) to recruit, retain and develop a top performing team of outside sales professionals.• Works with the RGM and VP Sales to develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives to drive increased market share and gross profit• Work with sales force to develop annual customer sales and margin budgets, for both existing and new customer targets, to achieve regional and company objectives.• Conduct regular review of account performance, to ensure alignment with regional performance objectives and sales team achievement.• Regularly accompany sales team on customer calls, to ensure sales organization is exceeding customer expectations; while maximizing market share gain.• Be a coach that provides autonomy for the sales force, but constantly develops the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales force.• Develop and maintain relationships with key and strategic customers.• Develop and maintain key relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure exceptional service levels.• Provide leadership and direction for pricing proposals and strategic plans for key accounts.• Monitor market activity, sales trends and product performance to ensure the organization remains relevant and profitable.• Work with RGM to manage expenses related to sales activity, to ensure alignment with regional objectives.• Be a key sponsor to help ensure we maintain relevant inventory for market needs, while supporting company objectives to turn inventory at an accelerated rate.• Lead efforts toward existing customer and new customer adoption of our eCommerce platform.• Performs other duties as assigned.

Regional Sales Manager - Mechanical Qualifications: • Five years of field selling experience in the mechanical segment is preferred and three to five years of sales management experience.• Experience in the distribution industry is preferred.• A high level of analytical ability is required in order to integrate and interpret data from diverse sources and find solutions to human relations, technical, strategic or administrative problems. Must be able to analyze problems, propose reasonable solutions, make logical decisions, carry out decisions made and follow up with feedback where appropriate.• Ability to lead, coach/develop and motivate individuals and teams• Requires interpersonal and communication skills necessary to lead others and deal effectively with a diverse group of external customers and vendors, as well as internal contacts at all levels of the company.• Requires ability to plan, analyze, prioritize and organize work effectively and to work effectively under pressure and deadlines.• Familiarity with the local markets is a plus• Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to a group• Must have valid drivers license; heavy travel required.
