Watch this fun video to learn more about us: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fvveccyxlespnor/Agropur_Ingredients_v3.mp4?dl=0 Job Summary:The Quality Control Chemist is responsible for performing a variety of complex sample preparations and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure compounds in nutritional products utilizing High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). This position is also responsible for maintenance of the HPLC; corresponding parts that are essential to its function as well as developing and validating new methods and maintaining instruments as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform a wide range of tests on nutritional compounds using HPLC.Utilize sophisticated analytical instruments such as high pressure liquid chromatography.Responsible for proper chemical and waste removal.Maintain HPLC and perform routine maintenance on the instrument.Maintain detailed records of method performance; analyze and interpret test results.Recognize results that deviate from established standards, and recommend appropriate actions.Communicate results and any potential issues in a timely manner.Perform maintenance testing when required and as needed to troubleshoot issues.Recommend revisions to procedures to improve efficiencies.Establish procedures for new assays, materials, products and equipment.Summarize and present analytical results as needed.Comply with good housekeeping and organization safety practices.Validate Methods and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) using the given protocols.Develop Methods as needed for new sample testing.Write protocols and reports as needed with minimal supervision.Follow method validation procedures and conduct data analysis to newly and previously developed as needed. Qualifications:Education Required:Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field required.Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.Experience Required:Minimum four (4) years of experience in analytical testing laboratory required.Experience in reliably conducting complex analyses and a thorough understanding of laboratory procedures required.Strong experience in sample extraction procedures required.Solid Phase Extraction experience preferred.Certification/Licensure Required:NoneSkills Required:Advanced math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, comparative analysis, measurements, statistical analysis, regression analysis, calculus).Results driven, bottom-line oriented, strive to exceed goals, and motivate self and others to achieve positive outcomes.Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with executives, managers, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the organization.Able to exchange basic informational data (fill out forms/checklists, copy data from one record to another, etc.); interview to gather information; advise others on alternatives/options; coach and counsel others; read, understand and explain technical data.Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, establish priorities, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook and field-specific software.Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.AA/EEO - Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity
