Position Summary:

The HRIS Developer is a developer position within the HRIS structure.  The primary focus of this position is the development of new solutions and the enhancement of existing solutions.  The HRIS environment includes applications, integrations, software and data administration and management.  

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Collaborates with the HRIS team for integrations, upgrades, modifications, enhancements, etc., and participating in issue tracking and resolution for all HR and Payroll systems.

  • Develop/enhance custom development, application interfaces, and application based portal and platform configurations through the use of the application tools, SQL, and any other means in use by the HRIS team.

  • Ensures quality, timeliness and proper use of HR information retrieved from systems and developing enhancements for HRIS systems

  • Ensuring security of HR and Payroll information through established security protocol

  • Researches new techniques in the development of systems and maintains knowledge of current trends and strategies in technology fields relating to HRIS.

  • Assist as needed for medium to large size projects where development or enhancements are required.

  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 8+ years’ experience in a combination of the following areas: application and system development and integration, data modeling/querying/analysis, database management and design, and technical documentation.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong customer orientation, sense of urgency in getting things done, and ability to oversee and prioritize multiple projects.

  • Strong critical thinking with the ability to review numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings

  • Ability to handle confidential material and details in getting things done, and ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects.

  • Highly focused attention to detail; vigilant in data analysis to arrive at correct conclusions, and results oriented.

  • Ability to remain flexible and multi-task while adapting to an ever-changing HRIS environment.

  • Familiar with Change Management, SDLC

  • Knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure

  • Knowledge of project management techniques and methodologies

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15%

  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test. 

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems Kronos and UltiPro and related tools including SSIS, Cognos, SQL, UltiPro UDES and/or Kronos WIM

  • Proficiency in .Net or related languages

  • Proficient in various SQL development tools such as SSIS, SSAS, and related administrative tools (jobs, stored procedures, etc.).

  • Knowledge of hardware infrastructure and all related supporting processes
