Job Description Job Description GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The position of Production Worker is responsible for performing repetitive workstation, or line assembly operations to mass-produce sheet metal components, or to assemble those components into a completed product. This is done by operating machinery and other related duties as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs assembly-type functions using hand and/or power tools Operates press brake to form flat sheets Operates automatic fastening machines and devices Operates both stationary and moving overhead cranes Operates forklift as required at this job. OTHER FUNCTIONS Other tasks as assigned by the Company. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED High School Diploma or GED, preferred Minimum of 1 year general work production/manufacturing experience preferred Ability to perform assembly type functions using hand and /or power tools Ability to pass background check and drug screen Experience operating a forklift LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to write and read routine reports or job orders. Ability to understand job instructions. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret, understand, and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. ATTENDANCE DEMANDS: Attendance is required Monday through Friday within normal business hours as established by the supervisor. Employee may be required to work overtime.
