The Radisson Hotel La Crosse & Three Rivers Bar and Kitchen is
looking for creative and personable Sous Chef to join our dynamic
Culinary Team! The Radisson Hotel La Crosse is a 169 room Hotel
nestled within Riverside Park overlooking the beautiful Mississippi
River.
The Sous Chef will focus on the Restaurant while providing
assistance to the Banquet operations, and is responsible for
overseeing the day to day operations of the kitchen and department
staff, while collaborating with the Sales and Food & Beverage
Departments to deliver seamless service and food quality
standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Help lead a team of kitchen employees in a fast paced
environment
-Work with the leaders in other departments to help create
strategies for success through employee engagement and guest
satisfaction.
-Maintains current and seasonal recipes for menu items
-Familiar with and enforces food safety and health guidelines
-Relays feedback of kitchen employees to department manager
-Provides input for creation of banquet, restaurant, and bar
menus
-Completes daily food production sheets and other reports
-Checks all stations to ensure proper setup, cleaning, and take
down before and after each shift
-Provide employees with coaching and counseling to help them
succeed and reach their fullest potential
-Analyze business forecasts and maximize productivity by adjusting
scheduling
-Prepares and inspects food to maintain quality standards
-Assists in regular inventories of supplies
-Coordinate with the Sales, Catering, and Front Office departments
to help provide flawless service to guests
-Help recruit, hire and retain Kitchen staff
REQUIREMENTS:
-Knowledge of local health and safety regulations
-Culinary degree or equivalent experience
-4 years progressive experience in high-volume kitchen
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to
ensure teamwork
-Able to resolve conflicts guests, supervisor and employee
-Strong floor presence with focus and energy
-Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
-Long hours are sometimes required, ability to work flexible
schedule
-Ability to stand for long periods of time
-Ability to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and push or pull up
to 75 pounds
-Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment
