Job Description:
Southern Health Partners is seeking a dedicated Certified
Medication Aide to join our team in delivering high-quality,
compassionate healthcare within a correctional facility. Our unique
environment provides a critical service that is both challenging
and rewarding. You will administer daily medication to patients,
monitor patient health, and communicate effectively with the
healthcare team to ensure that all individuals receive timely and
appropriate treatments aligned with prescribed healthcare
practices. Administer oral, topical, and injectable medications as
prescribed. Record and update patient health data in electronic
medical records. Monitor patients for reactions and side effects of
medications. Communicate with healthcare professionals about
patient conditions. Educate patients about medication compliance
and safety. Ensure the security of medication in compliance with
facility regulations. Knowledge of medication administration
protocols and procedures Strong organizational and documentation
skills Ability to work under pressure in a complex environment
Proficient in using healthcare software and systems Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification as a
Medication Aide from an accredited program Valid state-specific
certification as a Certified Medication Aide
