Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Marshfield, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,488 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Med Surg/PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med Surg/PCU/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 1900-0730 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 2 years of Med Surg, PCU, or ICU experience within the last year - Experience with drip titration - Preferred experience with home trach vents Description: This position is for a Med Surg/PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse in a Neuro Trauma Unit. The unit typically has 28 beds. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 at night, depending on patient acuity. Common diagnoses include neuro-related conditions such as strokes, seizures, Guillain-Barré syndrome, Myasthenia gravis, spinal injuries, and thrombectomies. Additional patient types include trauma orthopedic injuries such as hematomas, bleeds, falls on anticoagulants, and accidents. RNs will be required to titrate various drips, including Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, and Insulin. Charge nurses take full assignments during night shifts, while day shift charge nurses have smaller assignments. Nurse aides are present on the unit, with ratios of 1:9 during the day and 1:12 at night. Respiratory therapy equipment such as ventilators, trachs, CPAP, BiPAP, and VapoTherm will be utilized. RNs must read telemetry strips as central monitoring is located in a different area of the facility. Shifts are self-scheduled with management balancing the schedule six weeks in advance. Weekend and holiday work is required, with rotations every other weekend and holiday shifts. Floating to sister units may be required, covering various specialties such as mixed care, cardiac, general, and oncology. Scrub color is any solid color.
