Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Acute care experience with comfort in managing complex patients - Experience with titrating drips - Ability to manage and administer blood transfusions Description: The position requires nurses to work on a Medical Surgical unit. The unit accommodates various patient diagnoses, including oncology, general medical conditions, and respiratory issues. Nurses are expected to manage patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 on nights. The charge nurse will have a modified patient assignment during shifts. Nurses may be asked to take a charge role if comfortable. Nurse aides are available to assist with patient care. Respiratory therapy support is provided on a 24/7 basis. Nurses should be familiar with tele-monitoring but will not be responsible for interpreting telemetry strips. Complete scheduling flexibility is required, including potential weekend and holiday shifts on a rotating basis. No call or standby requirements are necessary for this position. Floating may occur within medical surgical units for tasking purposes.
