  • Job Details
  • The Surgical Technician position prepares the operating room, including setting up the sterile field and setting up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions.
  • During surgery, this role passes instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon and prepares and manages surgical equipment, the sterile field, and specimens.
  • ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment, provide the surgeon with appropriate instrumentation and equipment, and assist the surgeon during procedures.
  • Prepare the operating room for surgery.
  • Keep records of use of Steam Sterilizer.
  • Perform initial instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the circulator.
  • Keep the suture carts organized and watch expiration dates.
  • Turn over rooms in between cases.
  • Assist the team members with gowning and gloving.
  • Assist with patient positioning pre-operative and transport patient from cart to bed and back.
  • Stock adequate supplies for surgery.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
    • Job Requirements
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Certified Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
    • 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
    • BLS within 6 months of hire.
    • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
