Position description
The Division of Community Oncology at Mayo Clinic is seeking a
Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join our practice in La Crosse,
WI. Our comprehensive, high-tech, and newly expanded Cancer Center
is structured to maximize benefit to both the patient and provider.
Our cancer program is accredited by the American College of
Surgeons Commission on Cancer and has been QOPI certified since
2012.
Join a team of 4 physicians (including this opportunity), 2
advanced practice providers, and 2 Radiation Oncologists. On-site
chemotherapy and radiation oncology services are provided as well
as support services by a dedicated team in the Cancer Center.
Additional team members include oncology clinical nurse
specialists; oncology certified nursing staff, an R.N. care
coordinator and oncology certified social worker, dietician,
occupational therapy and a dedicated financial counselor.
The practice includes a mix of medical oncology and hematology with
access to on-site clinical trials. The Division of Community
Oncology has close collaborative relationships with all Mayo Clinic
sites in the Midwest as well as Arizona and Florida. Opportunities
also exist for practice, research and/or teaching through
partnership with Mayo Clinic Rochester Medical Oncology and
Hematology.
License or certification
Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible in Oncology and
Hematology and qualify for a Wisconsin state medical license.

La Crosse, WI, is a city of 52,000 with a metro area of 120,000 in
the Upper Mississippi River Valley, located between Minneapolis/St.
Paul, MN, and Madison, WI. The area offers unlimited, four-season
