opening a new facility in Danang Vietnam. All applicants will be
reviewed by our Vietnam team. Fluent in Vietnamese (written and
oral) is required. Fluent in English is preferred. Building
Automation Products, Inc. (BAPI) is a premier sensor manufacturer
for HVAC/R. Specializing in sensors for temperature, relative
humidity, pressure, wireless and air quality monitoring, plus test
instruments, electronics technician assistants (ETA) and
accessories. Position Summary: The Electronic Technician II adds
value to BAPI and Manufacturing Engineering Team by providing
technical resources for the manufacturing department (Production
staff), assuring electronic components are working appropriately
and equipment is working by conducting reactive and preventative
maintenance, examining, and qualifying First Article Parts,
performing root cause analysis for RMAs, performing preventative
maintenance, and assists test engineering department with the
development, maintenance, and repair of test fixtures. Ability to
perform 80% of the elective technician skills (elective skills see
Electronic Technician Tiers document). Principle Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot digital and analog electronics to the component level
Advanced repair and rework of SMT and through hole technology
Identify trends from Non-Conforming reports, RMA reports and
recommend changes and corrective actions to address quality issues
Implement approved changes through the appropriate channels
Properly follow ESD procedures Advanced test fixture build,
maintenance and troubleshooting Enter data and information into the
computer system, populate spreadsheets with data, compose email and
write descriptive and accurate narrative Support and assist:
Technicians throughout non-conforming, maintenance, RMA, and repair
processes Production staff with product, testing or machinery
concerns/issues Engineering with building prototypes and performing
product validation testing Training ex. new products, wave, lead
forming, pad printing Mentorship and training of Electronic
Technician I Test Engineering with calibration and maintenance of
manufacturing test equipment. Materials by examining, testing, and
qualifying new parts. Perform inspection and maintenance of
manufacturing equipment Maintenance of the selective, wave, and
robotic solder machines, splice band crimpers, lead formers,
potting machine, wire processing equipment, and air compressors
Maintain and/or see to the maintenance of testing equipment
supplied by Engineering Assist Manufacturing Engineering Team with
setting up machinery Assist in calibration of manufacturing test
equipment and updating documentation Assist in calibration and
certification of electronic components using industry standard
methodologies Requirements: Education Requirements (R/Required,
P/Preferred): (R) Associate’s Degree, Trade or Technical School
Degrees Preferred: Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics,
or similar degree Training, Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Specific Training in this field (R/Required, P/Preferred): (R)
Basic understanding of electrical control circuits that employ 24
VAC/DC, 120/240 VAC (R) Electronic Circuits (R) Understanding of
basic electronic instrumentation (DMM, Oscilloscopes, Power
supplies) (R) Exposure to selective and/or wave soldering machinery
(R) Ability to perform precise measurements of mechanical
components vs a print (R) Performs all technical skills required
for Electronic Technician I (P) Experience in building ATE
prototypes (P) Experience training production technicians in use /
daily maintenance of equipment Experience/Knowledge in this field
(R/Required, P/Preferred): (R) 2-5 years’ experience as Electronic
Technician (R) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – specifically
Word, Excel, and Outlook (R) Ability to document processes,
procedures, and findings (R) Ability to provide troubleshooting
information to Test Engineering (R) Experience in assembly,
disassembly and troubleshooting small electronic components /
products (R) Experience in certified soldering and rework
techniques (R) Experience reading complex schematics of digital and
analog circuitry (P) Experience in industrial and robotic
automation (P) SMT component soldering techniques (P) Experience in
RMA reporting and analysis and ability to perform first article
inspections (P) Experience in calibration and certification of
electronic components (P) HVAC Industry (P) ISO Certified General
Experiences/Knowledge/Skills: (R) Analytical and problem-solving
skills (R) 2-5 years of experience in installation, testing,
diagnosis, and/or repair of electronic or related electrical
equipment Exceptional communication skills, demonstrated ability to
communicate respectfully, culturally competent and collaboratively
Excellent Ability to communicate in verbal, written and electronic
forms in a professional manner when working with employees,
vendors, and company contacts.
